This proposal establishes a framework for the European Union to impose restrictive measures, such as sanctions, against individuals or entities responsible for cyberattacks. This will affect actors involved in state-sponsored or independent cyberattacks. It allows the EU to freeze assets or impose travel bans on those identified as threats to the EU's digital security.
