This regulation establishes specific energy efficiency standards for electric refrigerators and freezers. By setting minimum performance requirements, the measure aims to reduce electricity consumption and lower the environmental impact of household appliances. Manufacturers and importers of cooling and freezing appliances in Sweden must ensure their products comply with these efficiency standards to be sold on the market.
