This decree-law updates national law to comply with EU standards regarding the supervision and control of shipments of radioactive waste and spent fuel. It ensures that the movement of these hazardous materials across borders is strictly monitored to prevent illegal trafficking and protect public health. National authorities and organizations involved in the transport or management of radioactive materials are affected. The regulation replaces previous legislation to align domestic oversight with European safety and security requirements.
