Wijziging van de Wet kenbaarheid publiekrechtelijke beperkingen onroerende zaken teneinde die beperkingen beter kenbaar te maken

Stage otherUpdated 6d ago

This bill amends the Dutch Act on the knowability of public-law restrictions on immovable property (Wet kenbaarheid publiekrechtelijke beperkingen onroerende zaken, Wkpb). The Wkpb requires that government-imposed restrictions on land and buildings, such as zoning, environmental or heritage limits, can be found by people who need to know about them. This amendment aims to make those restrictions easier to discover and access. Based on the title alone, the full scope of the changes is not clear. The main groups affected are property owners, buyers and sellers of real estate, notaries, estate agents, and the government bodies that record and publish these restrictions. Anyone involved in property transactions or land use planning may see changes in how restrictions are registered or disclosed.
