Vaststelling van de begrotingsstaat van het Deltafonds voor het jaar 2018

This is a Dutch parliamentary procedure to formally adopt the 2018 budget statement (begrotingsstaat) of the Delta Fund, the national fund that finances long-term flood protection and water management works in the Netherlands. The budget sets out planned spending and revenue for that year, covering measures against flooding from rivers, the sea and extreme rainfall, and freshwater supply. The procedure mainly concerns the Dutch government and the Tweede Kamer, which must approve the spending plan. Residents of flood-prone areas and water boards, which carry out many local protection projects, are indirectly affected by how the funds are allocated.
