Jaarverslag en slotwet van de Koning 2016
This is a Dutch parliamentary procedure concerning the 2016 annual report (jaarverslag) and the Act on the final accounts (slotwet) of the Kingdom of the Netherlands for that year. It is the final stage of the budget cycle, in which the government shows how public money was actually spent compared with what the Parliament had approved, and the Parliament decides whether to formally approve those accounts. The procedure mainly concerns the Dutch Parliament (Tweede Kamer) and the national government, which is accountable for the spending. Citizens and taxpayers are affected indirectly, as the outcome confirms how public funds were used and whether any over- or underspending is formally authorised.
