Jaarverslag en slotwet Ministerie van Veiligheid en Justitie 2016

This is the Dutch House of Representatives' procedure on the 2016 annual report (jaarverslag) and closing budget act (slotwet) of the Ministry of Security and Justice. The annual report shows how the ministry actually spent its budget and what results it achieved, while the closing act formally sets the final budget figures for the year. Parliament uses this process to check whether public money was spent as approved. The procedure mainly concerns the Dutch government and Parliament, and the ministry's responsibilities for policing, the judiciary, prisons, immigration and national security. It does not itself change laws or policies, but it affects how accountable the ministry is for its 2016 spending.
