Jaarverslag en slotwet Gemeentefonds 2017
This is the Dutch parliament's review of how the Gemeentefonds (Municipal Fund) was actually spent in 2017. The fund is the main pot of money the national government transfers to the country's municipalities. The procedure combines the fund's annual report with a closing act (slotwet), which formally sets the final figures for the year. It checks the planned budget against actual payments and records any differences. The procedure mainly affects Dutch municipalities, which depend on the fund for much of their income, and the national government, which manages the transfers. Residents are affected indirectly through the services their local councils fund.
