Jaarverslag en slotwet Diergezondheidsfonds 2012
This is a Dutch parliamentary budget procedure concerning the annual report and closing act (slotwet) of the Diergezondheidsfonds, the Animal Health Fund, for the year 2012. The closing act is the formal legislation by which Parliament approves the actual income and expenditure of the fund for a given year, after the accounts have been audited. The fund is financed largely through contributions from the livestock sector and is used to support animal health programmes and disease control. The procedure mainly concerns the Dutch government and the Tweede Kamer, which must review and approve the fund's accounts. Farmers and livestock keepers who pay contributions to the fund, as well as veterinary and animal health organisations that receive its money, are indirectly affected by how the accounts are closed.
