Jaarverslag en slotwet Buitenlandse Handel en Ontwikkelingssamenwerking 2017

This is a Dutch parliamentary procedure concerning the annual report (jaarverslag) and closing budget act (slotwet) for the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation for the 2017 financial year. It is the final accounting step in which Parliament checks how the money allocated to the ministry was actually spent compared with what was budgeted. The procedure mainly affects the Dutch government and the ministry's budget, and by extension the foreign trade promotion and development cooperation programmes it funds. It does not itself create new policy, but it confirms the final spending figures and any deviations from the approved budget for that year.
