Implementatie van de richtlijn 2013/40/EU van het Europees Parlement en de Raad over aanvallen op informatiesystemen en ter vervanging van Kaderbesluit 2005/222/JBZ van de Raad (PbEU L 218/8)

Stage otherUpdated 6d ago

This Dutch legislative procedure concerns the national implementation of Directive 2013/40/EU, which harmonises criminal offences relating to attacks against information systems, such as illegal access, system interference and illegal interception of data. The directive replaced Council Framework Decision 2005/222/JHA and sets minimum penalty levels and rules on cross-border cooperation between authorities. The procedure is based on metadata only and does not reflect the full legislative text. The changes mainly affect criminal law and the authorities that investigate and prosecute cybercrime in the Netherlands. Individuals, businesses and IT system operators may be affected through clearer rules on offences and penalties for attacks on computer systems and data.
