Stage otherUpdated 6d ago

This Dutch bill would approve, at Kingdom level, amendments to the Rome Statute of the International Criminal Court that were adopted at a review conference in Kampala, Uganda, on 10 and 11 June 2010. The amendments add a definition of the crime of aggression and set out the conditions under which the Court can prosecute it. The bill also covers how the changes are implemented in Dutch law. Based on metadata only, not the full legislative text. The amendments mainly concern individuals, such as political and military leaders, who could be prosecuted for planning or carrying out acts of aggression between states. They also affect the Netherlands and the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom as states party to the Rome Statute, and the Court's work more broadly.
