CASCIO: Abolizione del doppio identico cognome

Stage otherUpdated 5mo ago

This procedure proposes to abolish the current Italian law that requires children to automatically receive their father's surname. It aims to allow parents to choose either the mother's or the father's surname, or both, for their children. This change would affect all newborns in Italy, granting parents more autonomy in naming their children and promoting gender equality in family naming conventions.
