Deputy John Paul O'Shea asked the Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science whether the Agricultural Engineering course at a university (details supplied) currently includes a qualification meeting the Green Cert requirements; if this is no longer the case, the reasons for the change; whether engagement is ongoing between the university, Teagasc and the relevant Departments to enable students to obtain the Green Cert as part of their degree; the progress made and expected timeframe for resolving this matter, given the additional time and cost facing students required to complete a separate qualification after a three- or four-year degree.
