Deputy Mark Wall asked the Minister for Justice, Home Affairs and Migration when the proposed changes to citizenship residency rules from five years to eight will come into place; whether these rules will apply to only new entrants into the country; if his Department is considering a grandfather residency clause for people already living and working in Ireland at least three years or more; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
