This law implements EU Directive 2022/2557 to strengthen the resilience of critical entities within Greece. It establishes a framework to identify essential services and infrastructure, ensuring they can better withstand and recover from significant disruptions, such as cyberattacks or natural disasters. The Ministry of Civil Protection's General Secretariat for the Protection of Critical Entities is designated as the competent authority and single point of contact. This affects sectors providing essential services, which will now face new oversight, compliance requirements, and potential penalties for failing to meet resilience standards.
