Kohanimeseaduse ja ruumiandmete seaduse muutmise seadus
This is an Estonian national law that amends two existing acts: the Place Names Act, which governs how geographical names such as settlements, streets and natural features are recorded and used, and the Spatial Data Act, which governs the collection, management and sharing of geographic and location-based data. Based on the title alone, the bill updates rules in both areas. The full text is needed to see the specific changes. The changes would mainly affect public authorities that maintain place-name registers and spatial datasets, as well as people and organisations that rely on that information, such as surveyors, mapping services, planners and local governments. The committee assigned to the bill is the Rural Affairs Committee of the Riigikogu.
