Stage en_commissionUpdated 3mo ago

This is a Belgian private member's bill, submitted to the Chamber of Representatives, that would prohibit placing on the market products and services that result from situations created by serious violations of international humanitarian law and human rights in occupied territories. The aim is to stop Belgian commerce from benefiting from such situations, linking trade rules to international legal obligations. If adopted, the bill would apply to businesses and traders selling or offering goods and services in Belgium that originate from occupied territories affected by such violations. Importers, retailers and service providers would be most directly affected. Based on metadata only; the full legislative text was not reviewed.
