ZeroAvia is the leading developer of aerospace-grade hydrogen-electric propulsion and power systems, enabling clean, efficient and resilient flight. The company’s fuel cell-electric systems deliver cleaner, quieter and more affordable operations to commercial aviation, and significant operational advantages for defense aircraft, including high-endurance, low detectability, high power availability and improved sustainment. ZeroAvia is the world’s only Design Organization Approved manufacturer focused solely on hydrogen-electric aviation and has achieved major flight test and regulatory milestones with the FAA and UK CAA. The company has secured more than 3,000 preorders for its propulsion and power systems from operators, OEMs and defense customers globally. The company's mission is to power the shift to the electric age of aviation by deploying advanced fuel cell technologies for commercial and defence applications.
EU Legislative Interests
ZeroAvia is interested in discussing policies that can enable adoption of cleaner aviation technologies and hydrogen economy (such as Refuel EU Aviation, AFIR, EU1008/2008, EU ETS) and creates a level playing field for the most environmental and economically-friendly solutions to the industry's climate impact and can bolster clean growth across the continent. We are also interested in discussing how DEFIS and member state defence ministeriats can work with SMEs on adoption of innovative technologies that can provide operational advantage for NATO allies. We are recipients of Horizon Europe funding, and most recently signed a grant agreement for an EU Innovation Fund project to deploy our technology for hydrogen-electric flights in Norway.
Communication Activities
We are members Hydrogen Europe and the European Regions Airline Association, and often sign on to policy positions of both. We are also members of Clean Aviation.
