Mission & Goals

The Industrial Union actively promotes and advocates for the rights and benefits of employees, for example in the metal industry, chemical industry, and wood products industry. You can find all agreement sectors on our website: www.teollisuusliitto.fi. The union negotiates and signs 33 collective agreements that establish minimum standards for pay and other conditions of employment for workers.

EU Legislative Interests

As a member of IndustriAllEurope, social dialogue is one of our main channels for influnencing legislation and decision-making at the EU level. It is not possible to name specific EU policies or legislative proposals, as our work covers a broad range of topics. We participate in industrial social dialogue discussions with the aim of improving working conditions and strengthening the rights of workers in industry. We take part in the following sectoral social dialogues: chemicals, extractive industries, metal/engineering/technology, competitiveness and employment, training and education, shipbuilding, and steel.
