Mission & Goals
Our organisation is professional service firm. Within Rödl & Partner, the Energy Team advises public and private stakeholders such as the European Union on the development, implementation, and financing of sustainable energy projects, with a particular focus on geothermal energy, decarbonisation and district heating. As a consultancy, we do not approach EU institutions on behalf of a specific client. Instead, we act in our own professional interest by contributing our expertise to relevant policy processes. This includes input that may align with broader sectoral or municipal interests, but without acting as a mandated representative. Our activities include legal and strategic consultancy, project management and the representation of clients in the context of energy transition and climate action. Purpose of our exchange with EU officials is to contribute our expertise to the Geothermal Action Plan.
EU Legislative Interests
Our main interest representation activities are directed at specific EU policy instruments relevant to the energy sector. In particular, we focus on: The Clean Industrial Deal (CID) and Clean Industrial Deal State Aid Framework (CISAF) and the Geothermal Energy Action Plan (Communication from the Commission: European Green Deal – Geothermal Energy Action Plan, COM(2023) 345 final). Our engagement aims to contribute to the development and effective implementation of these policy initiatives.
