Mission & Goals
ARDITI is the Regional Agency for Research, Technological Development and Innovation (located in Madeira island, Portugal). It is a Private non-profit public utility association. The aim of ARDITI is to promote and support Research, Technological Development and Innovation (RTDi) within Autonomous Region of Madeira, namely by: • Supporting the regional government of Madeira in the definition and implementation of science and technology policies, namely on the regional smart specialization strategy (RIS3-RAM); • Participating and funding RTDi projects, providing scholarships for researchers (including PhD and Postdoctoral grants). ARDITI also integrates researchers participating in specific projects; • Promoting and disseminating RTDi results and their adoption in the business, service and industrial sectors.
EU Legislative Interests
Contribution to the European Commission «Public Consultation for a new Outermost Regions' Communication 2022», representing FORWARD project consortium / Outermost Regions (November 2021), reflected in «EC COM(2022) 198 final» which integrated part of the proposals made by the Outermost Regions consortium.
Communication Activities
Document with the proposals and EC COM(2022) 198 final was shared among Policy Makers and other relevant Stakeholders in all nine ORs (Outermost Regions).
