Mission & Goals
Re-Imagine Europa (RIE) is a Brussels-based, non-partisan think-and-do tank dedicated to rethinking how to address society's most pressing challenges in a rapidly changing world. Operating as an international non-profit organization, RIE was founded by President Valéry Giscard d'Estaing in honour of his friendship with Chancellor Helmut Schmidt, guided by a vision of Europe that transcends national, personal, and partisan interests. By harnessing cutting-edge research and innovative methodologies, Re-Imagine Europa focuses on depolarising debates, rebuilding trust, and unlocking the power of diverse perspectives to drive meaningful progress. Working across a broad spectrum of stakeholders—from politicians and policymakers, to academics, industry leaders, media, NGOs, CSOs, experts and thinkers—Re-Imagine Europa analyses narratives and social dynamics to develop new practical tools, policy proposals and shared visions fit for the 21st century.
