Mission & Goals

Prevent GmbH is a German engineering company that develops and implements large-scale battery energy storage and digital grid management solutions. Our mission is to enhance the reliability and flexibility of energy systems and support integration of renewable energy sources. We design and deliver megawatt-class battery storage solutions tailored to the needs of clients in the industrial, energy, and municipal sectors. Our objectives include advancing technologies that contribute to de-carbonisation and strengthening energy security. We are active in the EU market and are expanding our operations into Ukraine, where we implement projects in the field of energy-industrial cooperations. Our operations cover engineering, assembling, installation, software integration, and long-term support. We know how important it is to deal with the regulatory environment in the EU, as the legal and political framework conditions have a significant influence on the successful use of our solutions.

EU Legislative Interests

We want to influence the European Green Deal and in particular the Strategy for Energy System Integration.

Communication Activities

Prevent GmbH actively participates in EU public consultations, expert workshops and thematic events organized by the EU with a focus on energy, technology transfer and sustainable infrastructure. Below you will find the most important current and planned activities that demonstrate our commitment to a transparent and constructive dialog with the EU institutions: I) Participation in the Workshops on Ukraine Investments On April 11, 2025, Prevent GmbH took part in a workshop with EU companies, representatives of the European Commission and international financial institutions (IFIs) to discuss investment projects in Ukraine and available support mechanisms. The event in Brussels enabled a direct exchange on practical challenges and opportunities in the Ukrainian energy and infrastructure sector. II) EU-Ukraine Business Summit 2025 On 10 and 11 April 2025, Prevent GmbH participated in the EU-Ukraine Business Summit in Brussels, which was co-organized by the European Commission and key stakeholders. The summit focused on driving Ukraine's economic recovery through EU accession instruments, financial instruments and public-private partnerships. Our participation underlined our expertise in the fields of energy storage and cross-border integration, which was in line with the summit's aim of promoting industrial cooperation between the EU and Ukraine. III) Ongoing lobbying and exchange of expertise In addition to the events, we submit technical position papers for EU consultations, collaborate with industry networks (e.g. European Battery Alliance) and explore opportunities under the Ukrainian Investment Framework (UIF) to support energy modernization.

Member Of

Prevent GmbH is not an official member of any industry association or structure. However, we cooperate at an expert level with Ukrainian organisations, including the National Agricultural Advisory Service Association (NAAS) in the context of developing energy solutions for the agricultural sector, and the NGO Institute for Sustainable Regional Development, with whom we are exploring opportunities for deploying BESS technologies in community recovery projects. These organisations are not listed in the Transparency Register and do not have a mandate to represent our interests at EU level. However, they act as national-level partners, particularly within initiatives related to Ukraine's recovery and eventually EU future integration.
