Mission & Goals
Our association's main activities include various research and studies on promotion and development policies for local governments, primarily municipalities in Japan; making recommendations to the National Diet and the government; participating in various councils on local administration; and other administrative activities. To widely publicize these activities to mayors, related organizations, and the public nationwide, we actively conduct public relations activities through our weekly newsletter, "Town and Village Weekly Bullet," and our official website. Currently, our association is actively working on various initiatives aimed at further strengthening our activities for the 21st century and promoting understanding of the role of municipalities.
