Mission & Goals
L-IMPACT is a non-profit organisation committed to advancing gender equality, with a particular focus on increasing the participation and representation of women and girls in STEM-related education, training and professional pathways. Its mission is to support inclusion, equal opportunities and empowerment through awareness-raising, mentoring, advocacy, networking and cooperation initiatives. Its social mandate is rooted in the public-interest objective of addressing structural gender inequalities, promoting fair access to scientific and innovation ecosystems, and contributing to more inclusive educational, economic and institutional environments at national and European level.
EU Legislative Interests
« L-IMPACT’s activities relate primarily to the following EU policies and instruments: European Commission “A Union of Equality: Gender Equality Strategy 2026-2030”; European Commission “STEM Education Strategic Plan” (COM(2025) 89 final); Regulation (EU) 2021/695 establishing Horizon Europe – the Framework Programme for Research and Innovation (2021-2027); EU policy framework on Gender Equality in Research and Innovation within the European Research Area; Regulation (EU) 2021/817 establishing Erasmus+: the Union Programme for education and training, youth and sport; Digital Education Action Plan 2021-2027. The organisation is particularly interested in EU initiatives and policy developments aimed at improving gender equality, increasing the participation of girls and women in STEM education and careers, and supporting inclusive education, research and innovation ecosystems."
