Mission & Goals
The Istituto Italiano per la Privacy is an independent non-profit association dedicated to promoting the culture of personal data protection, information security, and data governance within the framework of European Union law and national legal systems. The organisation carries out research, analysis, and thought leadership activities on privacy, cybersecurity, and emerging technologies, contributing to public and institutional debate through publications, events, training programmes, and awareness initiatives. It fosters dialogue among institutions, supervisory authorities, businesses, and the academic community, with the aim of supporting the development of responsible, transparent, and compliant data management models. In pursuing its mission, the organisation promotes best practices, enhances specialised expertise, and analyses the impact of technological innovation on fundamental rights, with particular regard to the protection of personal data.
