Mission & Goals
International Justice Mission (IJM) is a global human rights organization that protects people in poverty from violence. As the largest anti-slavery organization in the world, IJM partners with local authorities in 44 locations in 30 countries worldwide with over 1,400 employees to combat modern slavery, violence against women and children, and other forms of abuse against vulnerable people. IJM works with local authorities and governments to rescue and restore survivors, hold perpetrators accountable, and help strengthen public justice systems so they can better protect people from violence. IJM Deutschland e.V. is the German branch of International Justice Mission. Informed by our program offices and in close cooperation with other IJM-offices, we activate the European Union as a driving force for global change — committed to confronting modern slavery, violence, and exploitation by advancing survivor-centered, justice-based responses across borders.
