Communication Activities
The organisation undertakes targeted communication and dissemination activities linked to EU-level public health policy priorities, particularly in the areas of mental health, healthcare workforce development, and the integration of evidence-based complementary and integrative medicine. These activities include the development and publication of scientific outputs, such as systematic and umbrella reviews on nutraceuticals and herbal medicine for depression, as well as clinical research studies, including a recent pilot feasibility study on auricular acupuncture for stress and anxiety among correctional staff in a high-security psychiatric setting. This work contributes to emerging evidence on scalable, low-cost interventions for workforce mental health and resilience. The organisation is also developing further feasibility research on home-based supportive care approaches in palliative cancer management, aimed at contributing to patient-centred care models relevant to EU health system priorities and cancer care strategies. In parallel, the organisation is actively coordinating the EDNES (European Dry Needling Education Standards) Delphi initiative, which brings together international experts to define consensus-informed educational standards for physiotherapists. The outputs of this initiative are intended to inform professional education frameworks and contribute to discussions on healthcare workforce qualifications, quality assurance, and patient safety within the European context. Dissemination activities further include participation in scientific conferences, organisation of educational programmes, seminars, and workshops for healthcare professionals, and collaboration with academic and professional bodies. Through these channels, the organisation promotes the translation of research findings into clinical practice and supports alignment with EU priorities on quality of care, lifelong learning, and health system resilience.
