Mission & Goals
The German Datacenter Association (e. V.) advocates for the interests and specific concerns of data center operators in politics, society, and the media. Its members include operators and owners of data centers of all sizes. The association addresses framework conditions and potential improvements in energy, sustainability, urban planning, and digital policy at the municipal, state, federal, and European levels, and promotes dialogue between citizens, data center operators, and policymakers. In the long term, it aims to sustainably improve the regulatory and operating conditions for data centers in Germany. To this end, it organizes expert conferences, panel discussions, and similar formats designed to facilitate exchange. Its goal is to place the interests of operators and the general public at the center of legislation and other political decisions in energy, digital, and environmental policy.
