Mission & Goals
FarmTech Society (FTS) is a non-profit industry association that unites and supports the Controlled Environment Agriculture sector (CEA). Its remit is to strengthen indoor, controlled-environment production by supporting the development and implementation of resilient, future-proof methods and technologies, convening members and other stakeholders around shared challenges, and contributing to the development of policies and legislation that support the sector's interests. It supports cooperation among members on a pre-competitive basis, focused on overall industry development.

Communication Activities
FarmTech Society communicates on the EU policy files listed above through its website and LinkedIn, where it publishes policy updates, short explainers, and sector evidence. It contributes to consultations and stakeholder dialogues organised by EU institutions and engages through webinars, online briefings, and meetings when invited. It maintains a regular presence at relevant sector events and conferences, providing speakers, moderating panels, and curating sessions on regulatory, sustainability, and innovation topics linked to indoor farming and CEA. It also hosts webinars and roundtables with members and external stakeholders and shares outputs and summaries with institutional contacts where appropriate.

FarmTech Society is affiliated with and works in partnership with EU-based sector bodies and organisations active in indoor and controlled environment production. It is an association partner of the European Photonics Industry Consortium and contributes to sector dialogue on enabling technologies relevant to indoor farming. It cooperates with GLOBALG.A.P. on the practical implications of voluntary standards and assurance frameworks for controlled environment produce. It is also affiliated with Growing Media Europe, BayWa and DLG e.V., using these links to support knowledge exchange, policy-relevant evidence sharing and coordinated sector positioning on topics relevant to indoor farming and controlled environment agriculture.
