Mission & Goals
The European Independent Media Publishers (EIMP) association brings together national associations of media publishers and companies that are active in the sector of (news) media publishing in the European Union and Europe. EIMP represents dynamic, innovative, local and regional outlets that rely on online channels to grow and reach audiences. EIMP was established when the European Commission launched its copyright reform, which could have a negative impact on the sector. The mission and vision of EIMP is to promote media pluralism and an ecosystem that fosters growth for small and innovative digital-native media publishers in Europe, providing a platform for members to exchange experiences and best practices in relation to European Union legislative initiatives and national cases, and deploying the joint expertise of members to inform European Union officials, policymakers, and other stakeholders on any policy area relevant to our members.
