Mission & Goals

Business Roundtable is an association of chief executive officers of America’s leading companies working to promote a thriving U.S. economy and expanded opportunity for all Americans through sound public policy.

EU Legislative Interests

The registration concerns the EU’s prospects for completing bilateral trade agreements under Article 207 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union.

Communication Activities

A single meeting was scheduled between representatives of Business Roundtable and the European Commission. The purpose of this meeting was to gain a better understanding of the Commission’s outlook and approach regarding the conclusion of trade agreements under Article 207 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (TFEU). While Business Roundtable does not intend to carry out any broader communication activities (such as campaigns, publications, or events) in relation to EU policies, this meeting formed part of our interest representation activities, as it sought to clarify the Commission's policy direction in this area. No intervention, advocacy, or follow-up activities are planned beyond this meeting.
