Mission & Goals

BASTA! asbl/vzw is a social anti-mafia association dedicated to the fight against organized crime and corruption through a community-driven perspective. The association aims to inform and raise awareness among the Belgian public, youth and institutions about the profound damages caused by criminal infiltration. Beyond the economy, we expose the social consequences of these phenomena—how they erode democracy, harm the environment, and tear the social fabric of our communities. Through its activities, it promotes a culture of legality and active citizenship as tools for both social prevention and the reparation of criminal harm. From collecting data on organised crime presence in Belgium to leading educational workshops and conferences, BASTA! acts as a catalyst for awareness. BASTA! is a founding member of the European network CHANCE - Civil Hub against orgaNised Crime in Europe. Our joint actions are aimed at European governments and institutions, national and European civil society/
