Mission & Goals
„STEP BY STEP SOUTH REGION” is a nationwide, non-governmental, apolitical and non-profit organization from the Republic of Moldova, established on 13.11.2013 and registered nationally, with public utility status (from 24.02.2023). Main goal of the organisation: Development of society and improvement of quality of life for vulnerable and key groups—children, youth, and the general population—through programs in public health, human rights, education, participatory democracy, and good governance, promoting open-society values, rule of law, inclusion, and social protection. Programs ensuring the organisation’s activity (functional level): 1. Public Health, Inclusion & Risk-Reduction Program. 2. Institutions, Participation & Democratic Processes Program by strengthening citizen trust and participation in local democratic institutions by building budget literacy, enabling Participatory Budgeting (PB) as local public policy, monitoring public spending/procurement.
