Type-approval of motor vehicles: emissions and battery durability (Euro 7)
This procedure updates vehicle emission standards, known as Euro 7, to reduce air pollution from cars, vans, and heavy-duty vehicles. It also sets new rules for battery durability in electric vehicles to ensure they last longer and are more sustainable.
These new rules will affect vehicle manufacturers, consumers buying new vehicles, and the environment. They aim to improve air quality and promote the use of cleaner, more durable vehicle technologies.
