Amendment to Regulation (EU) 2024/3190 (+2 more) on the use of bisphenol A (BPA) and other bisphenols and bisphenol derivatives with harmonised classification for specific hazardous properties in certain materials and articles intended to come into contact with food, amending Regulation (EU) No 10/2011

This regulation corrects a previous rule concerning the use of Bisphenol A (BPA) and similar chemicals in materials that come into contact with food. It aims to ensure the safety of food packaging and utensils.

The regulation updates classification for hazardous properties and amends existing rules on plastic materials. It also repeals an older regulation, affecting manufacturers and consumers of food contact items.
