Situation of women in the Balkans

This procedure is an own-initiative report examining the social, legal, and political status of women in the Balkan region. It aims to identify gaps in gender equality and human rights to help the EU better support the region's progress toward democratic standards.

The report focuses on women's rights activists, policymakers, and citizens in South-East Europe. It seeks to promote changes in legislation and social practices to combat gender-based violence and improve women's representation in leadership.
