The short-stay visa waiver

This agreement establishes a visa waiver for citizens of Kiribati traveling to the European Union for short-term visits. It aims to simplify travel and strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the EU and the Pacific island nation by removing the need for a visa for short stays.

Citizens of Kiribati will be able to enter the EU Schengen area for tourism or business purposes without applying for a visa in advance, provided their stay does not exceed the permitted short-term limit.
