The short-stay visa waiver

This agreement establishes a visa waiver for citizens of the Kingdom of Tonga traveling to the European Union for short-term visits. It aims to simplify travel and strengthen diplomatic and economic ties between the EU and Tonga by removing the need for a visa for short stays.

Tongan citizens will be able to enter the EU Schengen area for tourism or business without applying for a visa beforehand, provided their stay does not exceed the agreed limit.
