The short-stay visa waiver

This procedure concerns an agreement between the European Union and Timor-Leste to allow citizens of both sides to stay in the other territory for up to 90 days in any 180-day period without a visa. This aims to facilitate travel and strengthen people-to-people contacts.

This agreement will benefit citizens of Timor-Leste travelling to the EU and EU citizens travelling to Timor-Leste. It simplifies travel for tourism, business, and family visits, fostering closer ties between the two regions.
