Directive on the safety of third countries' aircraft using Community airports
This directive aims to ensure that aircraft from countries outside the EU meet high safety standards when using airports within the EU. It seeks to prevent accidents and protect passengers and the public.
It affects airlines operating international flights into the EU and airport authorities. Compliance with international aviation safety standards will be verified.
