Standards for equality bodies in employment & occupation
This procedure aims to establish common minimum standards for equality bodies across the EU. These independent organizations are responsible for promoting equal treatment and opportunities between women and men in the workplace, ensuring that gender-based discrimination is effectively addressed and prevented.
The proposal affects national equality bodies and employers. It seeks to strengthen the powers of these bodies to provide legal assistance and support victims of gender discrimination in employment and occupation.
