Fundamental rights in the EU (2022-2023)
This procedure is an own-initiative report assessing the state of fundamental rights across European Union member states for the years 2022 and 2023. It evaluates how well the EU Charter of Fundamental Rights is being upheld and identifies areas where human rights protections are weakening.
The report affects all EU citizens and residents. It highlights systemic gaps in legal protections and pressures national governments to improve their adherence to shared European values and human rights standards.
