EGF Mobilisation: Sweden (Northvolt)
This procedure concerns the mobilisation of the European Globalisation Adjustment Fund (EGF) to support workers in Sweden who lost their jobs due to industrial restructuring. The fund aims to provide financial assistance to help them find new employment.
Around 1,000 workers from the Northvolt battery factory in Skellefteå are affected. The EU funding will support measures like job-search assistance, training, and entrepreneurship support to help them reintegrate into the labour market.
