Human rights protection in EU external migration policy

This initiative examines how the European Union integrates human rights protections into its policies for managing migration from outside the EU. It aims to ensure that border controls and cooperation with third countries do not lead to human rights abuses or the unfair treatment of migrants.

This procedure affects migrants and asylum seekers entering the EU, as well as the member states and international agencies responsible for border management and migration control.
