Amendment to Directive 2011/24/EU on health technology assessment
This proposal aims to establish common EU procedures and criteria for health technology assessment (HTA). HTA evaluates the clinical effectiveness and cost-effectiveness of new health technologies, helping to ensure access to innovative medicines and medical devices across the EU.
It will affect national HTA bodies, healthcare providers, and patients by streamlining the assessment process. This aims to improve the uptake of innovative health technologies and ensure fair access for citizens.
