Capital Markets Union: SME access to finance & retail investor participation
This procedure aims to enhance the Capital Markets Union (CMU) by making it easier for businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), to access funding through capital markets. It also seeks to increase opportunities for individual investors to participate.
The focus is on improving access to finance for SMEs and enabling more people to invest. This could lead to greater economic growth and more investment choices for citizens across the EU.
