This procedure is an own-initiative report examining how the European Union implements the legal rights and duties associated with EU citizenship. It aims to evaluate whether citizens can fully exercise their rights to move and reside freely across member states and how to strengthen the bond between the EU and its people.

This affects all EU citizens, particularly those living or working in a different member state than their country of origin, by seeking to remove administrative barriers to their fundamental rights.
