Energy efficiency: Repeal of Directives 2004/8/EC and 2006/32/EC
This procedure updates the EU's energy efficiency rules to align with current climate goals. It aims to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emissions across the bloc, promoting a more sustainable energy system.
The updated directive sets new targets for energy savings and outlines measures for public buildings and private companies. It repeals older directives, consolidating and modernizing energy efficiency legislation for all member states.
